Local Therapy Dog Teams

These teams are accredited by the AKC (American Kennel Club), which means they are the best of the best! Both dogs and handlers have passed rigorous testing and have logged many hours of practice, giving you the full experience of some well-trained doggie love!

International Therapy Dog Teams

This organization is responsible for the certification of many teams across the world. They also run many smaller organizations, some in libraries, such as "Tail Waggin' Tutors." Be sure to visit this website, especially if you are interested in certifying your own therapy dog.

Paws to Read

Paws to Read is a nationally implemented program that incorporates children reading to therapy dogs, in order to reduce the stress associated with learning to read. Be sure to find which program is in your state, as the name might be different!
